Our client is a part of the UK’s National Health Service with 5,000 nurses, doctors and administrators on their staff. They have experienced high turnover, stemming from internal conflicts and miscommunications. Both have enormous costs and lead to low levels of engagement.

Clinically-trained staff often under-appreciate the importance of taking even a little care in making sure their message is tailored to the recipient. By providing a skills-based communication training, staff were able to see many instances where minor adjustments would provide significant benefits and help to avoid conflicts.


We began with the top 350 leaders within the organization, delivering large-group sessions (100+ attendees per session). This led to leadership deciding to deploy across the entire organization. To date, more than 3,000 out of 5,000 staff have been through the course and tools.


Turnover in the healthcare field is especially expensive, and many people leave their jobs due to the stress associated with workplace conflicts and miscommunication. This client has seen a measurable impact on their retention and engagement as a direct result of the implementation of our tools and training.
